Laura's last week of work

Laura here. This is it. After six and a half years, I'm putting in my last week of work at this particular job. After that it's pack up the house for the renters (here's hoping), move to Grandma's for two weeks, and then board a plane to Montenegro. As I look around the office at all my personal belongings (soon to be boxed), I'm a bit sad that this part of my life is ending. I have made many wonderful friends here, not just co-workers, but many of our regular visitors as well.
I probably won't be able to post much after this week (until we arrive), since we don't have internet at home.
The picture is from a trip several of my co-workers (and some others) made to Montenegro earlier this year. As you can see, it's beautiful there.

5 1/2 weeks to go!

In only five and a half weeks, we'll be sitting on a plane with our worldly possessions condensed into four suitcases and two carry-on bags and flying half-way around the world to Montenegro, a country that gained its independence from Serbia in the summer of 2006. Isn't the flag cool?
We have never been to Montenegro before, although we have visited some of the neighboring countries (and we spent a memorable 7 hours in the Belgrade airport in Serbia).
Some of our friends have visited and we know a handful of people who live there, so we've seen pictures of this beautiful country and are eager to create our own Montenegrin memories.
